Quite Scientific Records is a Michigan based label founded by like
minded
individuals hoping to see more attention paid to deserving artists. We
enjoy having the right to release any sort of music we find thought provoking
and
interesting, but right now we seem to be categorized by the overarching
term
"indie rock". This

is not a conscious decision, we really just have yet to find
the
right rap-metal artist that tickles our collective pickle in "that way".
We prefer to maintain a very objective nature, not wanting to judge anyone's else's particular taste, but rather facilitate a myriad of releases that have the potential to become someone's favorite record of all time. We find such an experience to be heartwarming and special, and hope you do to. If you would like to judge our particular taste, that's totally fine... just please make sure you spell Quite Scientific correctly. We have a particular distaste for poor syntax. If you make the greatest music ever, but tend to be quite unpleasant, chances are you will probably never release a record on Quite Scientific. We prefer to work with people we love in all aspects of our daily happenings, and as such are willing to engage in the many blood swapping ceremonies that this may require. This may seem a tad bit idealistic and naive, but at the end of the day we actually prefer that you think of us as quaint midwesterners. It has served us well thus far. We like the people we are involved with... a lot. Hopefully more people will catch on that this, what we do and what our bands do, is a great way to form relationships. We hope to find more of these people in the future. We hope to see you at shows. We hope you enjoy what we have to offer. We do a lot of hoping. It tends to be better than doubting. | |
