Quite Scientific Records, often shortened to the unbelievably hip QuiSci, was born not too far back in January of 2006. QuiSci is the brain child of three young professionals, Justin Spindler, and the brothers Brian and Jeremy Peters. All three having jobs with other larger labels, QuiSci is very much a labor of love.

Starting out with a simple idea to release compilations of local southern Michigan acts, QuiSci quickly evolved into the full fledged indie imprint it is today (we still haven't gotten around to putting out those comps). Mainly focusing on the Midwest musicians, aesthetic, and general good atmosphere that seems to permeate the air surrounding the Great Lakes; we have beards, wear plaid, and enjoy a band that doesn't take themselves too seriously.

We don't release a million albums a year for a reason - with us, it's about doing it right. From our limited edition releases, to digital only re-issues, and of course full scale national releases, QuiSci prides itself on the hands-on, do it yourself, manner in which we operate. We've been known to hand assemble, shrink, screen, cut, paste, fold, and sometimes even record / mix / master our releases in-house. It's just a small part of what we think sets our releases apart from the larger cookie-cutter nature of many of the records out there today.
